About

Char is a Microsoft boomerang, joining the OXO Planning & Research + Customer Driven team in April, 2019 where she currently leads the M365 Growth + Horizontals team. Prior to returning to Office, Char spent over years leading the qualitative practice of a boutique research and marketing agency, following 4 years in Office Product Planning where she drove research to inform the v1 efforts of CoAuth in Word and the WACs. Char holds an MBA from the University of Washington Foster School of Business and a Bachelors Degree in Theatre.

Overview

Diversity and Inclusion in User Research - Microsoft has the vision to “empower every person and organization on the planet to achieve more,” and we understand that this relies on not only inclusion but equity in order to fulfill that promise. We need to intentionally seek out diverse voices and include different perspectives as we research emerging products and technologies. We formed an Inclusive Research working group in late FY20 and that work has evolved to inform Inclusive Research efforts across E+D. We'll use this time to share our work to date and plans for FY22 and beyond.
