Felipe Almeida, PhD, works for the EDU team with work centered on effective and ethical AI and holistic youth experiences. Felipe also co-leads the Green Design Lab, a volunteer led group centered in sustainable and regenerative design culture at Microsoft. He is also involved with the Green Software Foundation and is a collaborator at the Canadian project Climate Action Now! and Umojo Maono Humanitarian Organization in Tanzania, Africa.

Copiloting Climate Education with Edge

In this talk, we will go through how the team explored the needs and identified opportunities to support holistic climate education for learners at various developmental stages. We will first cover the research synthesis with educators around the world and then discuss how we used the feedback to design "Microsoft Our World", our user-centered Climate Education product idea that aims at using adaptive experiences powered by LLM to best support Climate Education.
